WHY CHOOSE ME AS YOUR GUIDE?
The Lake District is a simply magical place. The fells and the lakes, of course, but also the weather, the slate buildings, the rivers, gills, becks and burns, the Herdwicks, the seemingly endless rain and the steaming trees when the sun comes out, the rippling tarns, the crumbling walls, the summit cairns and the mountain flowers. It's so special.

I like to offer visitors a chance to see Lakeland through my eyes. To see all the beauty it has to offer - and to have a fun time whilst doing so.
Mountains
Mountains have always held a special place in my heart. Every time I see a mountain, my first thought is how good would it be to be stood on top of it.
I've been lucky enough to climb mountains in England, Scotland, Wales, France, Spain, Finland, and Italy.
In 2020 we moved to the Lake District and I am now lucky enough to call these hills home.
Since then, I have achieved my Summer Mountain Leader qualification, which has given me the toolset needed to safely guide groups in the fells.

Expeditions
Before moving to the Lake District, I embarked on a series of expeditions that gave me great experiences.
In 2016 I ran the length of Scandinavia - from Nordkapp in the Arctic Circle, to the Danish border with Germany. I carried everything I needed on my back and was on the road for 103 days. You can read all about it in my book Rundinavia.
In 2018 I set out with a group of friends to run East to West across Iceland. A series of events including illness, lack of drinking water and horrific blisters on one of my team mate's feet meant this adventure ended after one week - but it was truly spectacular.
In 2019 I completed a John O'Groats to Land's End multisport relay to raise money for an animal rescue charity . What I loved about this expedition was exploring more of the country I grew up in - and all the help from family and friends on the way.

Running
Since running the length of Scandinavia I've grown to love running. I'm still working on speed in the hills, but I am really getting to grips with the distance side of things.
Last year I completed the Lakeland Trails 100km and The Lap Windermere 75km.
This year, I'm hoping to enter a race in the Alps.
I run two or three times a week on the trails near home and I love it. I always come back with a smile on my face.

Paddlesports
Growing up, I was a kayaker and definitely NOT a runner.
Though I mainly competed in flatwater events, I also took part in a number of white water races.
My biggest achievements were paddling at the world student games, claiming multiple national championships with teammates and winning the British University Championships.
These days, I am getting into the world of pack rafting. This summer I am heading on my first packrafting expedition - to the Tara Gorge in Montenegro.
